Tomatoes

Tomatoes are the most consumed vegetables in the world next to potatoes. Tomato is very rich in essential minerals. It is a good source of potassium, chromium, manganese, dietary fiber, copper, magnesium, phosphorous and iron.

Tomato is excellent source of Vitamin C, Vitamin A and Vitamin K. It is also good source of Folate, Thiamin, Vitamin B2(Viboflavin), Vitamin E, Vitamin B3 (Niacin), Vitamin B6(Pyrodoxine), Vitamin B5(Pantothenic acid), Tryptophan, Protein and molybdeum.

Tomato contains Lycopene which is known for its anti oxidant properties. It also has cancer preventing properties and helps prevention in heart diseases. Tomato is a good source of fiber which reduces high cholesterol levels and maintain blood sugar level.
